Irrigation for Cricket

Cricket irrigation can be divided into 3 main categories; wicket irrigation, wicket-surrounds irrigation, and outfield irrigation. Wicket sprinklers must provide a high level of uniformity while applying a low precipitation rate to avoid any puddling; the wicket surrounds need to be irrigated using part-circle sprinklers that face away from the wicket and therefore irrigate the turf adjacent to the wicket. The outfield irrigation must also be uniform in coverage and allow the turf to grow strong and healthily regardless of a dry summer or frequent play.
